Understanding your financial aid award letters
Financial aid award letters are not standardized; some colleges provide a detailed breakdown of the award offer and your out-of-pocket costs but most colleges fail to clearly communicate this crucial information. In this webinar, I’ll provide a detailed breakdown of the various components of your financial aid award letters, how to calculate your out-of-pocket cost, and an in-depth discussion on how/when to appeal need and merit-based award offers. The financial aid process for separated and divorced parents
As if the financial aid process isn’t challenging enough, this population often has additional application requirements. What is the federal definition of custodial parent (it deviates from the legal definition) and does that parent also have to complete applications? I’ll answer this question, we’ll discuss the CSS Non-Custodial Profile and the various situations where a waiver may approved.
